Credit Controller
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Kent
Responsibilities
– Collecting debts by telephone, letter or email to ensure customers adhere to agreed terms
– Investigating disputed items and ensuring these are followed up by the relevant department
– Maintaining records of unresolved disputes and highlighting these to senior management
– Managing problem accounts through targeted use of credit limits, suspension of credit, and liaison with external agencies
– Collating cash and cheques for banking and posting all receipts on the computer system
– Ensuring the accuracy of the computer system by reconciling accounts, recording activities and follow up actions
– Updating customer details and opening new accounts
– Other duties within the accounts team such as answering phone calls, processing incoming and outgoing mail etc
– Providing a professional service to both customers and employees
Qualifications
– Experience of working in a busy office environment
– Experience in Microsoft Office applications with strong Excel skills
– Excellent attention to detail and time management
– Ability to work to strict deadlines
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Analysis of information to support decision making
– Keen to achieve results
– Proven accounting and reporting experience
– Good team spirit, able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the business
