New electric machines at bauma
With a strong commitment to environmental compatibility and efficiency, SANY’s electric construction machines not only enhance performance but also significantly reduce environmental impact. The green construction site of the future is becoming increasingly important, particularly in light of global CO₂ reduction goals.
SANY has been investing in renewable energy solutions for some time, as demonstrated by its dedicated subsidiary SANY Renewable Energies, which develops, manufactures, and distributes wind turbines and solar panels.
Two impressive examples of SANY’s sustainability efforts are its trucks. In Asia, these are available either with battery swap systems or as hydrogen-powered vehicles. SANY is also focusing on the necessary infrastructure, operating battery swap stations and having established the largest hydrogen refuelling station with its own production facility in Changsha (CN).
SANY’s commitment to sustainability is increasingly evident in its construction machinery. A distinctive feature of all SANY E-machines is their striking blue paintwork. Apart from this, they are virtually indistinguishable from their combustion-engine counterparts. In Europe, these electric machines could play a key role in transforming the construction industry into a future-proof and pioneering sector. By utilising innovative drive technologies and intelligent energy supply solutions, SANY contributes to reducing emissions and significantly increasing efficiency on construction sites.
Common features of SANY Electric Machines: All SANY electric machines are equipped with modern lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which offer several crucial advantages:
Safety: LFP batteries are thermally stable, reducing risks of overheating and fires – ideal for construction sites.
Longevity: They provide up to 5,000 charge cycles, making them durable and cost-effective.
Environmental Friendliness: Free from cobalt and other toxic materials, they offer a greener alternative.
High Discharge Performance: Ensuring strong machine performance.
Temperature Resistance: Reliable operation in various climatic conditions.
Stable Performance: Consistent efficiency throughout the battery’s lifespan.
Electric Machines at bauma 2025
The demand for electric mini excavators is rising as they significantly reduce emissions and noise while offering lower vibration levels. They are ideal for urban environments, residential areas, and sensitive work zones such as tunnels or indoor spaces. These machines help meet stricter environmental regulations, reduce operating costs, and require less maintenance compared to traditional diesel excavators. SANY already offers the SY19E mini excavator, and at BAUMA, it will introduce the SY35E, a second fully electric mini excavator. The SY35E boasts up to six hours of operation, 30% lower energy consumption, and a fast-charging function.
With the SY215E, SANY will also unveil a sustainable alternative in the 23-tonne class. This fully electric crawler excavator features a 150 kW electric motor and a 422-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing an emission-free, low-noise solution for urban areas.
Electric material handling machines are gaining popularity due to their zero emissions and low noise levels, making them ideal for use in city centres, warehouses, and environmentally regulated areas. SANY will showcase the SW956E, a fully electric 20-tonne wheel loader, which combines high performance with sustainability.
Another highlight will be the STH625e, an electric 6m telehandler making its debut in Munich. This compact telehandler is perfect for noise- and emission-sensitive environments.
SANY is also introducing the SMHW40E, a new electric material handler, expected to revolutionise operations at material handling sites across Europe. This machine is currently undergoing final testing and will be available soon, though it will not yet be part of the bauma exhibition.
Other impressive products include the SANY eTrucks. These have been on the road in Europe since 2022 and with the new generation e435 (8×4), SANY is continuing to set the course for the future of sustainable logistics. The emission-free trucks reduce noise pollution and are characterised by low operating costs and minimal maintenance requirements. Key features include a 350 kWh battery with a range of up to 300 kilometres and state-of-the-art driver assistance systems for greater safety and comfort. The vehicles can be equipped with various superstructures and can therefore be used as a tipper, crane or truck mixer, for example.
Electric road construction machines operate quietly and emission-free, making them particularly suitable for use in environmentally sensitive areas. The STR50E is SANY’s first fully electric 5-tonne roller. Equipped with a powerful electric motor, up to 8 hours of runtime, and a fast-charging function, it is ideal for urban construction sites and sustainable infrastructure projects while helping to meet environmental regulations and lower operational costs. Additionally, the SCM500E electric cold milling machine will also be on display at bauma.
Also in the field of cranes, SANY meets challenges with innovative, durable, and cost-efficient crane solutions and is launching an electric all-terrain crane (SAC1200E).
SANY invites all visitors to experience the full range of machines up close at booth FN.619 (Outdoor Area North).
